i really like 'rome.' it's no six feet under, but it's a dense, detailed, and amazing production. there's so much going on that it doesn't all really gel until the second viewing, and it's interesting enough to warrant a second viewing. it has a lot of similarities to deadwood in its honest depiction of the animaistic drives of the leaders of each period, but i find 'rome' to be more viscerally satisfying and less 'heady' than deadwood. though i do feel like i should give deadwood another chance.
anyway, back to rome: i especially love ray stevenson.
