i saw this movie when it first came on hbo.
it was 1983.
i was 8.
i knew this:
underwear slide.
naked woman at window.
car in water.
party.
no panties on the train.
sunglasses.
the end.
it's on cable now. i just realized what i never understood:
it's about hookers.
they weren't having a party, he was running a whorehouse.
on the train, they're having sex.
it's not about adults, it's about high school kids.
(everyone taller than me was an adult, so i made no distinction.)
tom cruise wears really gay cut off shorts. it's hot.
(ok, i did know that - even at 8)
